Society of Washington Artists

The purpose of the SWA is to further the interests of the visual arts
within the community.  We aim to assist members of the society and
the community in achieving their artistic goals by providing a number
of activities such as workshops, demonstrations, display venues,
and  critiques.

The Society was established in 1962.  It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization headquartered in Vancouver, Washington.

Meetings are held from 10 AM to 12 noon on the third Wednesday of every month
(September through June) at Vancouver Heights United Methodist Church,
Vancouver, Washington.

Reid Trevarthen is a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest He is a multimedia artist and recent graduate of Evergreen State College. He uses the medium of collage to create portraits.
